Why start selling on Teachers pay Teachers? Really, what is your why? Let me share the story of why I decided to start selling on TpT.
So what is my why? The short answer: money! I know it can make people uncomfortable talking about money but let’s lean into it for a minute. Why else would you start selling your teaching resources? Sure, it is AMAZING to help countless amounts of teachers and reach an immeasurable amount of students with your teaching resources. But let’s be honest: Your time, experience, ideas and knowledge, are worth money so you shouldn’t feel shy about admitting it!
Why I Finally Started Selling My Resources on Teachers Pay Teachers
For me, I started selling on Teachers Pay Teachers when we decided to put our first house for sale. We had outgrown our starter home but, a bigger house meant a bigger mortgage. Not to mention all of the extra expenses that go along with settling into a new home. For a long time I had thought about selling on TpT, but I kept putting it off because I wasn’t sure how to even start. However, the potential to earn extra income for things I was already doing made selling on TpT a no-brainer!
